Our Commitment
Brennan's Powerwash & Handyman is committed to making brennansyuma.com accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves equal access to information about our services and an equal opportunity to request a quote.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. This is an ongoing effort, and we continue to improve.
Accessibility Features
The following features are currently implemented on this website:
All interactive elements are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone. A visible skip-to-content link appears on focus.
Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and landmark roles help screen readers navigate the page clearly. Images have descriptive alt text.
Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
The site is fully usable at any screen size and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
All buttons and interactive controls meet minimum 44×44px touch target requirements for motor accessibility.
Visible focus indicators are present on all interactive elements for users who navigate by keyboard or switch access.
All information conveyed by animations is also available in static form. No content relies on motion to be understood.
Our hero video is decorative and muted by default. Captions for informational video content are in progress.
Known Limitations
While we work toward full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, we are aware of the following areas that are still being improved:
- Embedded Google Map: The map iframe in the footer may have limited keyboard/screen reader support due to third-party constraints. A text address alternative is always provided.
- Review ticker animation: The auto-scrolling review ticker may be difficult for some users. Static review cards are available in the same section.
- Video captions: The background video does not currently have captions. It is decorative (no spoken content or essential information) and has a static background alternative.
We are actively addressing these issues. If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from accessing any content or feature, please contact us so we can help directly.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
This website is designed to work with:
- Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver (iOS/macOS)
- Browser zoom up to 200% without horizontal scrolling
- High contrast modes on Windows and macOS
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Switch access and other alternative input devices
We test with a combination of automated tools and manual review using assistive technology.
